Square Enix have announced that they will be bringing Lara Croft back to Windows 10 including mobile. The new game titled Lara Croft GO takes Lara on a cell shaded isometric adventure which reminds us of Square Enix’s own Hitman GO or Bastion.
With it’s unique, and beautiful, graphical style as well as a board game style design, Lara Croft GO looks very unique in the world of Tomb Raider titles. This may explain why instead of adopting the Tomb Raider name it has instead decided to be titled after it’s protagonist, Lara Croft. This is a trend that has extended to previous spin off titles such as last year’s four player Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris on Xbox One.
Lara Croft GO will be making it’s way to a myriad of devices including Windows phone, Windows, iOS and Android on the 27th August 2015 for around $4.99 (UK price will likely be around £3.49). On Windows platforms the title will include Xbox Live cloud saves and Xbox achievements, meaning you can bolster up your Gamer Score while on your daily commute to work or school.
Once the title is released later this month check back to see our thoughts and review on this unusual looking title.
