Bethesda’s previously iOS and Android exclusive free-to-play post-apocalyptic vault simulator, Fallout Shelter, arrives on Xbox One and Windows 10 today as part of Microsoft’s Play Anywhere program.
Fallout Shelter will see you thrust into the shoes of the Overseer of a new vault, and it is up to you to provide and defend for your vault dwellers, staving off attacks from mutated Radroaches, defending against vicious Raider attacks and ensuring your dwellers have enough power, water and food to survive in their new underground home.
“Fallout Shelter thrusts players into the role of Overseer to build their own Vault, manage dwellers, and adventure through Fallout’s iconic wasteland.”
The free title is available to download now direct from the Xbox One or Windows 10 store. Being a Play Anywhere title means that you can start playing on Xbox One, and seamlessly pick up where you left off on your Windows 10 computer. Unfortunately for Windows 10 phone users, the title is only available on Windows 10 based computers.
The new release of Fallout Shelter will include all content released on iOS and Android since the game’s initial launch in 2015, including the introduction of pets, quests and crafting.
Will you be looking to pick up Fallout Shelter on your Xbox One or Windows 10 PC? Are you disappointed that the title isn’t coming to Windows 10 phone? Let us know in the comments below.
