Square-Enix announced through their Final Fantasy twitter page that the recently released Final Fantasy Type-0 for Xbox One and Playstation 4 has shipped over 1 million copies worldwide since it’s launch less than a month ago on the 14th March.
The translated version of the twitter message reads “Congratulations, shipments of Final Fantasy Type-0 have exceeded one million units worldwide! Kupo! We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone.” The word “Kupo” is a phrase often said by one of Final Fantasy’s long running creatures, the Moogles, one of which is displayed as the account’s avatar.

This HD remake of the 2011 Playstation Portable title also comes bundled with a demo for Square-Enix’s Final Fantasy XV, a major selling point of the title for fans who have been waiting for Final Fantasy XV for almost a decade. The inclusion of this demo is also a major reason many fans were willing to pay full price (£54.99 on Xbox Store as of writing) for what is essentially a four year old Playstation Portable title.
