Microsoft have issued a patch for Halo Reach on the Xbox One to address concerns about the games performance.
Having recently been added to the growing list of Xbox 360 titles playable on the Xbox One, Halo Reach has attracted criticism for issues relating to it’s performance on Microsoft’s newest console. While Halo Reach plays perfectly well on the older Xbox 360, the title suffers from low frame rates and poor graphics when played on the Xbox One.
The relatively large patch comes in at over 700MB, but appears to have significantly improved the title’s performance. After spending a little time playing Halo Reach again we noticed textures appeared sharper and drops in the frame rate appear to have been eliminated. Other users on forums and reddit have also agreed that effects such as anti-aliasing and load times appear to have been massively improved.
Halo Reach was released on 14th September 2010 and was the final Halo title produced by Halo’s original creator Bungie before 343 Industries took over in 2011.
